Jamia Millia Islamia, a Public Central University, was established in 1920 in Aligarh and later moved to Delhi, settling in Jamia Nagar. It became a Central University in 1988 and has since expanded, achieving new milestones in education and research. Today, Jamia Millia Islamia is accredited A++ grade Central University by NAAC during the 2nd cycle in December 2021. The university is an ensemble of a multi layered educational system which covers all aspects of schooling, under-graduateand post-graduate education.
