Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya Selection Test - Class 6th: Important Date, Online Application, Syllabus, Admit Card & Result
Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas (JNVs) were established by the Government of India under the National Policy on Education (1986) to provide quality education to talented students, primarily from rural areas. These co-educational residential schools are fully funded and managed by the Government of India through the Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti, an autonomous organization.
Currently, JNVs operate in 27 States and 8 Union Territories across India, offering free education, boarding, and lodging facilities. Admissions to JNVs are conducted for Class VI through the Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya Selection Test (JNVST), ensuring a merit-based, fair selection process.
With a focus on academic excellence, holistic development, and equal opportunities, JNVs aim to nurture the potential of students, particularly those from underprivileged backgrounds, to become responsible and successful citizens.
