The Birla Institute of Technology and Science Admission Test (BITSAT) is a highly competitive online entrance exam conducted by BITS Pilani for admission to undergraduate courses. BITSAT offers admission to B.Tech (BE), B.Pharm, and MSc programs at BITS Pilani, as well as its campuses in Goa and Hyderabad. Every year, around 3 lakh students participate in this exam, which is recognized as one of India’s most prestigious entrance tests for engineering and science courses. Qualifying in BITSAT opens the door to pursuing higher education at one of India’s leading institutions known for its academic excellence and innovative approach. BITSAT is a highly competitive, computer-based examination that assesses both knowledge and practical application skills.
BITSAT Exam Pattern
BITSAT is conducted annually in two sessions, generally the first in May and the second in June, spaced about a month apart. Candidates can choose to appear in either or both sessions. If a candidate takes the exam twice, the higher of the two scores is considered for admission.
Each session lasts for 3 hours, consisting of 130 multiple-choice questions (MCQs) drawn from four key subject areas:
