Eligibility Criteria

(a) Nationality.A candidate must either be : -

(i) A citizen of India, or

(ii) a subject
of Nepal, or

(iii) a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri
Lanka and East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania,
Zambia, Malawi, Zaire and Ethopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently
settling in India. Provided that a candidate belonging to categories (ii) and (iii) above
shall be a person in whose favour a certificate of eligibility has been issued by
Government of India. Certificate of eligibility will however not be necessary in the case
of candidates who are Gorkha subjects of Nepal. A candidate in whose case a
certificate of eligibility is necessary, will attach such certificate alongwith the application.

(b) Age Limit. 20 to 27 years as on 01 Jul 2026. (Candidates born between
01 Jul 1999 and 30 Jun 2006, both dates inclusive).

NOTE : SPECIAL EMPHASIS

1.Mismatch in Stream. Any variation between the nomenclature of stream
as given on degree parchment/ marksheet and that submitted by the candidate in
online application will result in cancellation of candidature. (Refer Para 3 of
notification)

2.Variation in Name: Any variation in personal particulars (Candidate’s name &
parents Name mentioned on educational on educational documents), candidate must
submit an affidavit stating the variations. (Refer Para 11(a) Note-3 of notification)

3.Carry of Degree/ Provisional Degree and Marksheet : Candidate must
submit degree/provisional degree and all semester/years marksheet for SSB. (Refer
Para 11(b) of notification)

4. Minimum Physical Standards :

(a) 2.4 Km Run 10 Minutes 30 Seconds
(b) Push Up 40
(c) Pull Up 06
(d) Sit Up 30
(e) Squats Two Sets of 30 Repetitions
(f) Lunges Two Sets of 10 Repetitions
(g) Swimming Should know Fundamentals of swimming

(c) Educational Qualification for Applying : Candidates who have passed the
requisite Engineering Degree course or are in the final year of Engineering Degree
course are eligible to apply. Candidates studying in the final year of engineering degree
course should be able to submit proof of passing Engineering Degree Examination
alongwith marksheets of all semesters/years by 01 Jul 2026 and produce the
Engineering Degree Certificate within 12 weeks from the date of commencement of
training at Indian Military Academy (IMA). Such candidates will be inducted on
Additional Bond Basis for recovery of the cost of training at Indian Military Academy
(IMA) as notified from time to time as well as stipend and pay & allowances paid, in
case they fail to produce the requisite degree certificate.
