BVSc & AH (Bachelor of Veterinary Science and Animal Husbandry) is the professional undergraduate degree required to practise as a registered veterinarian in India. It is regulated by the Veterinary Council of India (VCI) under the Indian Veterinary Council Act, 1984, and follows a uniform curriculum across the country.

After the degree
A BVSc & AH graduate must register with the Veterinary Council of India (or the relevant State Veterinary Council) to practise as a veterinarian, and can work in clinical practice, livestock and dairy development, government veterinary services, or continue to an MVSc.
