Neuroelectrophysiology is a fast developing field in medical science. It operates the crossing of neurosciences, cellular engineering and signal processing. This course enables the neurotechniologist to perform and interpret electrophysiology procedures. The students will acquire skills to assess the patient and plan various electro diagnostic procedures and implement them. It is a three year graduate program with one-year compulsory internship. It is an exclusive course in which students have training in Sleep studies, Autonomic function tests, Pre-surgical evaluation of epilepsy, EEG (including Neonatal and long term monitoring), Nerve conduction studies, Electromyogram, Visual evoked potential, Brainstem, Auditory evoked potential and Somatosensory evoked potential.
As neuroelectrophysiology is an integral part of neurology, the neuroelectrophysiologists are in high demand in hospitals in India and abroad. Our students have high placement records in International hospitals in USA, UK, Canada, Middle East etc. There is a huge scope for neuroelectrophysiologists to pursue higher studies and research.
