Bachelor of Commerce, Bachelor of Education (B.Com. B.Ed.) is a five-year integrated programme that combines a Bachelor of Commerce degree with a Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.), so the academic subject and the professional teaching qualification are completed together rather than as two separate courses.

Why students choose the integrated route
Instead of completing a subject degree first and then a separate B.Ed. afterward, this route finishes both qualifications in one continuous programme, which can work out shorter overall than doing the two degrees one after another.
A separate, newer route exists too: NCTE's four-year Integrated Teacher Education Programme (ITEP), launched from the 2023-24 academic session and admitted through NCET, combines an undergraduate degree with B.Ed. in four years at a specific set of participating institutions. It runs alongside, not in place of, university-run five-year integrated programmes such as this one.
After the degree
Graduates hold both the subject degree and the B.Ed. together, and can apply for teaching posts at the secondary level after clearing the applicable CTET or state TET.
