Jamia Millia Islamia (JMI) - Class 1st: Admission Details, Online Application and Selection Procedures.

For the 2026-2027 academic session, admissions for Nursery, Prep, and Class 1 in Jamia Schools are conducted exclusively through an online process, and selection is based on a Draw of Lots.

Admission Procedure and Guidelines

1. Registration and Application Process

• New User Registration: Applicants must first register on the JMI admission portal by clicking the "New User Registration" button.
• Verification: An email will be sent for account verification; users must click the provided link to set their login password.
• Form Submission: After logging in, the applicant selects the desired class and fills in the necessary details.
• Document Uploads: You must upload a recent colored passport-size photograph and a softcopy of the candidate’s or guardian's signature (both between 50KB and 100KB in JPG/JPEG format).
• Application Fee: An application fee of Rs. 500/- must be paid online via Credit Card, Debit Card, or Net Banking. This fee is non-refundable.
• Multiple Categories: Each candidate is allowed to apply under only one category. Applying for more than one category will result in the rejection of the application.

2. Eligibility Criteria (Age as of March 31, 2026)

• Nursery: 3 to 4 years.
• Prep: 4 to 6 years.
• Class 1: 5 to 7 years.
• Strict Adherence: No relaxation is given regarding the age criteria. If a candidate is found to be younger or older even by a single day, they will be rejected during screening.

3. Required Documents for Admission Upon selection, the following documents must be submitted for verification:

• Birth Certificate: Issued by the Gram Panchayat/Municipal Board or Corporation. For Class 1, a birth certificate from a previous school is also valid.
• Address Proof: Any one of: Voter ID, Aadhar Card, Ration Card, or latest Telephone/Electricity bill.
• Vaccination Card: A copy of the candidate's vaccination record.
• Self-Declaration: Prescribed proforma for those claiming reservation categories (e.g., Muslim, Muslim Women, Muslim OBC).
